Home legacies are built over generations. Others begin with a simple dream: finding a place where family, nature, and the freedom to live life your own way can come together.
For High Meadow Development, that dream began in 1977 when Jack Frey envisioned a different kind of life for his family, one surrounded by wide-open spaces, beautiful Texas landscapes, and room to grow. What started as a personal vision in the countryside northwest of Houston has grown into a multigenerational family business, now led by David and Aly Frey.
Nearly five decades after Jack Frey's original vision, the heart of High Meadow Development remains the same: creating thoughtfully planned acreage communities where families have the space and freedom to build a life that is uniquely theirs. Today, our communities span Magnolia, Plantersville, and New Waverly, each offering its own character while sharing a commitment to quality, natural beauty, and the Texas acreage lifestyle.
We're honored to have this story featured in Houstonia Magazine's special feature, High Meadow Development’s 50 Years of Family, Land and Legacy. We're grateful for the recognition of our history, our family, and the values that continue to guide everything we do.
