Meeting the teacher is the perfect opportunity for students and their families to meet their teacher, familiarize themselves with the classrooms and go over expectations for the new school year. If you are retired, have grandchildren or children who have aged out of the district, and reside within the boundaries of Magnolia ISD, there is an opportunity for you to take a role within the district. The STARS (Seniors Taking Active Roles) program is opening applications for those who would like to get involved in the school system and make a difference in their community.
Summer is about fun and freedom from school, but there are things you can do to make sure your students are active and engaged. According to the American Camp Association, students who participate in organized summer activities report to have higher levels of confidence and increased chances they will continue those activities.
This summer, Magnolia ISD will host a variety of sports camps to encourage students to be active while they are away from school.
